CAKE TRANSPORTATION & STORAGE
It is important that you check your cake on collection. We will not be held liable for any damage caused by incorrect transportation of your cake.
Your cake should be placed in a secure level area where it cannot move during transport. We do not recommend carrying the cake on your lap, as sudden braking can damage it. The footwell or boot is best. Please switch your heating off during transportation of your cake.
When moving your cake ensure that the weight is supported by placing your hands underneath the cake board / box.
Do not attempt to lift the cake out of the box. Unhook the side panels and slide the cake out.
Your cake will be chilled prior to collection to improve stability and prevent damage during transit.
Cakes are best eaten at room temperature. Therefore we recommend that remove your cake an hour before serving and consume within five days.
Buttercream cakes should be kept cool.
In warm weather it is recommended that the cake is refrigerated.
Any non-edible decorations should be removed before eating your cake. Please note that toppers may be attached with skewers that can be sharp.
Tiered cakes will be dowelled for support.
